vSphere (VIBE) Plugin not taking VMware Snapshot

Hello,

even with the variable set to "Y" the plugin will not take a vmware snapshot.

VIBE_VMWARE_SNAPSHOT=Y

From the debug log:

And also, what does "if applicable" refer to ?

Any ideas ?

Are the VMs powered ON?

If the VMs are powered off, vmware snapshots won't be taken.

Hi Siva,

Yes the VM is on.

It is a linux vm with a db2 database. If it wasn't powered on the quiescing of the database would fail, and it doesn't.

Hello Jaime,

The config looks good to me.

I went thru the config files and debug logs but could not figure out why the snapshots are not taken.

I will setup a similar environment to test this in the lab and let you know soon.

It will be a day before I get back to you, unless someone else on this thread could figure the root cause.
