While creating LUNs in SnapDrive, I erroneously chose "Cluster Group" for the location on one of them rather than "Available Storage". Is there any way to move this LUN out of "Cluster Group" without causing an outage of the cluster?

that's more of a question for Microsoft. With Snapdrive or without SnapDrive, removing the Clustered disk resource from the Cluster Group is a Microsoft task only.

I can only share my non-authoritative personal experience on a Windows 2012 R2 cluster and as long as there are no dependencies set on that new disk, I am able to remove it from the Cluster Quorum group, from within Storage/Disks....hope that helps....

Domenico
