idata agent Active Directory retention/replication questions

We are testing the AD idatagent for snapprotect 9. It works great.

Because this idataagent is not snapshot bound I am wondering where the backups are saved? In the disk library (in our case that would be a cifs share in a filer)?

Hi,

SnapProtect backups that are not snapshot based are saved in Disk or Tape Libraries. Normally you configure a Disk Library as Primary Copy and a Tape Library as Auxiliary Copy. Then is necessary to configure enough space according to retention in the Disk Library.
