In general What are the pros and cons of going with SnapProtect vs snap creator.

Hi,

Some snapprotect updates are SP doesn’t care about how apps layout on the storage like the SnapManagaer products. No snapinfo requirement. No SnapDrive requirement, although it can of course be used to create and manage LUNs. SP uses agents (iDAs) and proxies (Media Agents) for clusters

Major differences is that SnapProtect supports :

-SINGLE PANE OF GLASS

-TAPE INTEGRATION

-SEARCHABLE CATALOG

-BUILT IN Disk to disk to tape workflows

snapcreator may be used for an application that SnapProtect does not have support for.
