NDMP Backup of a Specific Snapshot

Hello,

We are going to script concistent snapshots from a home-grown database application and would like to take the resulting snapshot "Database_Recent" to tape VIA NDMP from NetBackup. Is it possible to reference a specific snapshot in NDMP the way one would in CIFS or NFS (xyz/~abc or xyz/.abc)? If not, is our best option then to expose the NFS or CIFS share to the backup server and just stream the data as a file from the snapshot in question?

Are we correct in assuming that the NDMP option is the most efficient?

I guess you can reference the snapshot in NDMP the same way you do in NFS. So it goes like this:

Filer/vol/Volume_Name/.snapshot/SnapshotName.current
