I created SMSQL scheduled backup job throught the SQL Agent. The snapdrive service account was used for the SQL Agent backup job and the default schema for that account on SQL is dbo. IA (information assurance) folks did not like the dbo beacuse it has too much priviledge. Can a lower priviledged schema be applied and still allow the scheduled Agent backup to work?

Hello,

SMSQL requires to run with a user which is sysadminon each managed SQL instance and it requires that user to be a local admin.

hope that clarifies it.

Domenico.
