Hi,

I'm struggling to migrate SQL system databases using SMSQL 6.0.1 due to 'Access Denied' error. The environment I'm tinkering with is actually on Lab On Demand, so we are talking about Widows Server 2012 & SQL 2012.

I've read this thread:

https://communities.netapp.com/message/80985#80985

and this KB article:

https://kb.netapp.com/support/index?page=content&id=2016403&locale=en_US

One thing from KB which gives me a headache:

"Add the SQL Server (instance) service account user to the local administrators group"

How do I do that? When I try adding "NT Service\MSSQLSERVER" the relevant dialog window simply says "the name cannot be found". Internet research didn't bring me much further so far.

Any hints?

Regards,
Radek

I tried this & it makes SMSQL completely unusable.

Interestingly enough, system databases migrate just fine when I play with another LoD environment where Windows Server 2008 is used (https://labondemand.netapp.com/index.php?labID=Insight_2012_MS-3-179_AlwaysOn_Availability_Groups_Setup_for_SQL)
