In SAN environments the host is responsible for consistency not the storage system.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In NAS environment its vice versa. To get a consistent snap the host must flush it's data to disk, then halt storage operations and tell the storage system to do a snap.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is done with SnapManager products which take care of all of this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Alex&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Is this true is there any other choice to do this without SnapManager ???.
