DocAve agent co-existence with SMSP agent ?

Hi,

I saw in a previous discussion where you indicate DocAve can coexist with SMMOSS or SMSP.

I have a customer who have bought Docave for administration purpose and must install agent on all server of the Sharepoint farm. Agents seem really identical.

Are there any convergence for agent or should we install the 2 agents now in SMSP 6.1 in the next SMSP 7 version (maybe the member agent on SQL servers is different because of SMSQL backup)?

Hi,

Have a look at a part of our Best Practise Guide:page 29.

Generally, SMSP Manager can use a range of the port numbers 12000-12012, but if there is a conflict with any other application, then you can use a port number beyond this range as well.

Note: Customer with Co-existence of SnapManager for SharePoint with Avepoint DocAve, note that the ports will need to be changed if DocAve is used along with SnapManager for SharePoint in the SharePoint Farm.
