    <description>&lt;P&gt;Craig,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can you share reasons why you are looking to move from SMO?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That may help us narrow the response.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Generally SMO is better if you need a more automated process for recovery and cloning.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Snap Creator's Oracle plugin allows for more flexibility and supports a wider variety of configurations, but it is a very manual process for anything other than backup.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Custom scripting or manual actions are required for cloning and restore operations.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'll send this thread to a couple of our Oracle experts as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sorry for the delay in response - due to the change to the new platform we were no longer getting automated messages about new posts.&amp;nbsp; We are working to resolve this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;John&lt;/P&gt;</description>
