Installed SnapDrive 6.02 in Windows 2008 SP2 X64

Hi,

I need install one SD 6.02 in windows 2008 X64 SE with SP2. After installed, the service is started and when i opened the console of SD, the server was with status "not connected" and this error show " Failed Reason: Web Service Client channel was unable to cnnect to the SDWFService.LUNProisioningServie instance on mochine XXXX. Creating the instance o SnapDrive service filed".

What do i need to do ?

Hi Andre,

Check if the windows firewall is blocking the sdw service? The required ports are TCP ports 808,4095, and 4096. Then remove the server from mmc, restart the SDW service, then try to readd the server.

I'm not sure this is the same problem, but setting the SnapDrive service as Startup (Delayed) might help. In my experience the service starts only after about 10 minutes after a reboot unless you set the service to a delayed startup.
