Hi,

Hmm, why not SnapMirror volume(s) from old filer containing LUNs in question to a volume on a new filer? Then you can break the mirror & attach migrated LUNs via SnapDrive.

Regards,

Radek

We currently have LUNs presented via iSCSI to two filers.

We want to present LUNs to the same Windows host on two new filers via Fibre Channel

SQL databases will then be migrated from the iSCSI LUNs to the Fibre Channel LUNs using Snapmanager for SQL

Can this be done?

If so how can I tell if the DSM was installed with both the iSCSI and Fibre Channel options?

They are Windows 2000 Clusters so I think there will be an issue with disk signatures.

Replicated LUNs will be identical as the original ones, including their signatures. I don't think Windows will attempt to re-signature them when attached to the host.

Why not try this out? Your original LUNs will remain intact all the time anyway.

Regards,
Radek

Because I have Mission Critical systems hosted and such a procedure wouldn't get through Change Control.

Unfortunately I don't have test infrastructure so I have to play this safe.
