Im setting up WORM as a service at work and Im doing some testing on the SIMs. The problem that I ve got is that

when I want to setup a WORM log volume I m not succesful. I believe the reason is because the LOG volume

must be of the type COMPLIANCE. when I put the license in I get this error message

invalid platform - snaplock not licensed

However there is a snaplock compliance license for the simulator. Can you tell if this should work or not?

I d also like to know how to change retention time using DOS as opposed to TOUCH command in UNIX.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric,

As jakob has pointed out the license key that you are using for the simulator might not be valid. Please see the link that jakob has provided for the same.

Also, from DOS you can use the attrib +R <filename> command to commit a file to WORM state.

Thanks,

S.Naresh
