Snapvault: insufficient threads

Hi everyone,

I'm getting the following error on my nearstore (FAS2020 running NetApp Release 7.3.1.1):

[snapvault.tgt.failure:error]: Could not create Snapshot target "" on volume volumename: insufficient threads due to resource limitation

Can somebody tell me how to solve this error?

Hi, welcome to the community

Have you confirmed that there is free space available on both the source and destination volumes? Also if you have many (think it is 32) concurrent snapmirror / snapvault events the system will not accept any more.

Also there is a limit of 255 shapshots per volume.

In your FAS2020, the max symultaneous SnapVault transfert destination is 8, check on your dest if you dont excedd the 8 ...

Thanks for your hint. I think this may be the problem.

I'm going to reschedule my backup jobs and write a feedback whether the problem is solved or not.
