      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;that's pretty much the default error when snapvault does not work &lt;SPAN __jive_emoticon_name="happy" __jive_macro_name="emoticon" class="jive_macro jive_emote" src="https://community.netapp.com/5.0.1/images/emoticons/happy.gif"&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if you can ping the source filer from the destination, then it is probably a permission or config issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;as Eugene already said, check snapvault.access. for testing, set options snapvault.access * on both source and target.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and besides snapvault.enable, also check if options licensed_feature.nearstore_option.enable is on.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if that does not work, we need more info:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ontap version&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;what's your exact commandline&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;snapvault status&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;btw: you don't need to take a screenshot in putty. just select the text and it will be in the clipboard &lt;SPAN __jive_emoticon_name="wink" __jive_macro_name="emoticon" class="jive_macro jive_macro_emoticon jive_emote" src="https://community.netapp.com/5.0.1/images/emoticons/wink.gif"&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;maybe snapmirror.log can give some more info. snapvault does also log into /etc/log/snapmirror.log.0000000XXX file.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;find the log file with the highest number and do rdfile on it:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;priv set advanced&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ls /etc/log/&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;rdfile /etc/log/snapmirror.log.0000000XXX&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;then post the output here.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't suppose you are fiddling with MTU sizes, right?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
