    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Well, the obvious suspect around here is NetApp Decru appliance, but I doubt you could classify it as cheap &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":winking_face:"&gt;😉&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is embedded encryption capability in many (of not all) LTO4 drives, but I am actually not quite sure how to use it (is it still backup software dependent?)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Radek&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Encrypting tapes that have been written by snapmirror to tape.</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I use snapmirror to tape to write my san data using Bakbone's Netvault. My fc lto4 drives are attached to two 16 port Brocade switches. Not sure of the models. I believe they are just fc switches. I have two filers also attached to the same Brocade switches.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have seen that Brocade have an encryption san switch which looks to be an expensive solution to my problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What other alternatives are there to encrypt my data being snapmirrored to tape.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
