SyncMirror support in CDOT 8.3 without MetroCluster?

Hi all,

Question is clear, its supported to use SyncMirror in CDOT 8.3 without MetroCluster? And configure some aggregates with mirror (2 plexes) but others without it.

Our idea is to ensure availability in case a shelf failure but all infrastructure in the same site. Due business continuity requirements; we'd need to configure some aggregates with SyncMirror splitted across two shelves (plexes); but also having other aggregates that doesn't require it, so would be normal aggregates.

impossible. MCC in cDOT requires all aggregates to be mirroed

Hi,

I don't want MetroCluster. "Standard" CDOT system

As an example of the configuration I want to achieve:

1 x FASxxxx HA pair with 3 x DS2246

First DS2246 for vol0 aggregates of both nodes and 1 data aggregate without mirroring.

2 x DS2246 for a data aggregate with 2 plexes, each shelf on a plex.
