In 7 mode, use” nfs show” command to check the status of the NFS service.

For CIFS you can use to command “cifs shares” If CIFS protocol is enabled it will display all the shares however if it’s not enabled it will give you a message “CIFS not running”

Similarly if you type the command “cifs ? “ it will give you the commands associated to CIFS however if CIFS protocol is not running than it will give you a message “CIFS not running”
