Hi

We have a production Filer cluster whose NAS data should be replicated to another Filer cluster.

Challenge is to copy the data over fibre alone.

The prod Filer doesn't have FCOE card and is in production.

One solution is to bring both the Filers under one fabric.

How do I proceed further?

None of the commands ndmpcopy, dump, dd work in such a scenario.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news....but I'm guessing that working through the firewall changes may be easier than unifying the fabrics.

Depending on the distance, you could possibly even do a completely isolated network (either direct connect using a crossover cable and private IP #'s or just a dedicated inexpensive switch or two that is physically isolated).
