Files deleted through Windows CIFS clients spontaneously reappear

Hello

We are facing strange issue that when users ( Windows 7, 8.1, 10 ) try delete files from NetApp CIFS shares, it delete without any error but reappear again in short time. We have tried ti create a new share with everyone full permission to test this and still we see the same issue.

I found one KB article to disable the cifs oplocks and i tried that too but no luck

would like to check if anyone else on the forum faced this issue

Data Ontapversion : 8.2.3 7 mode

seen this earlier, though I can't verify this, but disabling the "preview pane" in windows explorer seems to fix this issue. Please let me know if this works (Sounds crazy,I know 🙂

Thank you very much, i have disabled windows preview which resolved the issue

I had the same issue, finaly close the preview pane solved it
