Hi ALL Need help in adding snapvault License on Netapp 7 mode

Hi All,

We have 2 node running Ontap 8.1.2 7 mode which are in HA pair.I am need to add license both Primary and Secondary on both Nodes.Steps to be followed is as below am i right ?

filer1>license add xxxxxxx (Primary License)

Filer1>License add xxxx (Secondary Lincese)

filer1>options snapvault.enable on

filer1>options snapvault.access all (To privde access to all)

filer2>license add xxxxxxx (Primary License)

Filer2>License add xxxx (Secondary Lincese)

filer2>options snapvault.enable on

filer2>options snapvault.access all (To privde access to all)

So Questions i have

1)filer1 and filer2 are in HA and need to know what are the additional steps to be done so that snapvault relplication work fine during takeover and failover

2)Does adding Lincese and enabling snapvuault need any dowtime

3)I what both filer1 and Filers 2 to be both primary and secondary site for snapvault ,so i hope all above steps are correct to accomplish my requirement,Please corect me if i am wrong

Hi,

The steps are correct in options.access you can use legacy as well.

Once check that option.

It does not require any downtime to add snapvault license.

As you said you want to add both primary and secondary licenses on each filer the steps are correct.
