Could anyone help me the command to find NetApp model name (FAS XXXX). Other than sysconfig -a command.

Thanks

Lakshmanan

Hi JGPSHNTAP,

Thanks for replying. sysconfig -a gives perfectly the FAS model name but Do we have anyother command to find FAS model name. I heard this was an interview question so i am eager to know.

Thank you

Lakshmanan

That's a terrible interview question... sorry...

It's irrellevant. Sysconfig -a is the answer ... Or powershell.. Anyways, 7-mode is no more. You need to focus on cDOT or Ontap 9

Though this post is too old I still thought it would benefit someone who googles it.

If you are using 9.3 and above on a CDOT then this command will get you the Model if it's a FAS or AFF - > system show

hello:

In very bad cases, sysconfig-a can not see the model name, you can use sysconfig-v to see the model of the device, hopefully can help you
Best regards
