Hi all

I'm after a bit of advise.

I'm in the process of moving some snapmirror targets from one controller to another. The way I'm doing it is leaving the original SM in place and cascading from the 1st target. The problem I have is that whilst this is going through the initial initialize, the original SM won't update, and thus blowing my RPO. I only have a 1Gb connection between the two.

Is there a better way to do it that allows me to get this 2nd mirror done but allows my nughtly updates of the 1st relatioship?

Thanks

Steven

Depending on the topology you could do one to many...source cluster with 2 relationships to both target clusters.. then remove and release the one target you don't need after the new target is initialized.
