How to suggest right storage and model to customer

Hello All,

I am looking for the guidence over the steps to taken from Storage engineer end to suggest right storage model to the customer.

1)What are question we should ask customer to suggest right storage model.

2)What type of storage are suggest exchange,oracle.How is it decided over suggesting right storage

3) Any good architect books which has good info over it,please suggest...
