I know this might sound trivial but ...

I want to configure boot from SAN for a Windows host. Do I need FC license on the NetApp storage?

Yes SorinAndruseac , you would need a license.

you can configure Boot from SAN either using iscsi or FC.

above link provided mentions the exact procedure.
