    <description>&lt;P&gt;I am about to start to review our companies new&amp;nbsp; Ontap 9.x&amp;nbsp; FAS&amp;nbsp; against our internal security standards.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For some operating systems there are tools which evaluate and recommend security settings.&amp;nbsp; The&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;output reports can then be used as audit evidence of system security health.&amp;nbsp; For example showing :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Password strength rules&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- List accounts and status&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- etc&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anybody know of any netapp or freeware related tools in this area.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I already know that an hardening guide&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(best practices) exists and I am guessing the Powershell API can extract a lot of useful data which could be parsed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All comments very welcome.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rgds AndyP&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
