topic •	E-Series Restore After Simulated Outage in ONTAP Discussions

Testing complete power failure simulation to the E-Series 5600. The steps are to power down the E-Series, ensure access remains for all aggregates to the remote E-Series, power back on the E-Series, ensure the 5600 fully comes up, watch the FAS8080 regain pathing to the 5600, and finally have the FAS8080 present those disks back to the aggregates. What we found is all of those steps worked as expected except for the final step. (present those disks back to the aggregates) We tried this simulation multiple times and had the same results. We were able to discover a workaround of physically reseating the FC cables at the E-Series.

NetApp Release 9.1P2
