What does their existing NetApp environment look like? What hardware and ONTAP versions? How are they using it? (protocols, workloads)

This might be a great opportunity to migrate the existing workloads onto the FAS2650 and then convert the older systems to Clustered ONTAP.

Hi all,

Recently my customer have purchase one unit of FAS2650, and they plan it to downgrade to data ontap 8.2.4 7mode. It is because their all environment multiple netapp is still using 7mode with version 8.2.4.

i try to download the software and choose the FAS2650 hardware, but i didnt see the option 8.2.4 ontap available to download.

So the question is, is it FAS2650 support to downgrade to data ontap 8.2.4 7mode?

Thanks

edward

The minimum ONTAP version for that platform is 9.1. It is far too new to run 7-mode.
