firewall ports from 7-Mode to Cluster ONTAP snapmirror

I'm trying to figure out the firewall ports to be opened up to snapmirror data from a 7 Mode filer to a Cluster mode filer.

I couldn't find any documentation about this configuration.I wouldn't be the first to run into this. So I'm surprised i couldn't find much information on this.

From C-Mode ONTAP documentation:

Cluster ONTAP uses port 11104 to manage intercluster communication sessions and port 11105 to transfer data.

From 7-Mode documentation:

SnapMirror source binds on port 10566. The destination storage system contacts the SnapMirror source storage system at port 10566 using any of the available ports assigned by the system. The firewall must allow requests to this port of the SnapMirror source storage system.

Over what ports does the Intercluster-LIF on C-Mode cluster nodes communicate with a 7 Mode filer to snapmirror the data.

Is there a definitive list of ports to be opened up for snapmirroring from 7-mode to C-DOT filers?

Hi Ven,

There is the 7-Mode data transition using SnapMirror guide in the ONTAP 9 documentation center.

However it does not actually state the ports required. For this we need to look in the 7-Mode Transition Tool Guide (Port requirements for communicating with the 7-Mode Transition Tool), which details the ports that need to be open for SnapMirror to communicate as follows:

Ports that must be open on the 7-Mode systems

The following ports are required by the cluster to communicate with the 7-Mode systems for SnapMirror replication:

10565/TCP
10566/TCP
10567/TCP
10568/TCP
10569/TCP
10670/TCP

Ports that must be open on the cluster

The following ports are required by the 7-Mode systems to communicate with the cluster for SnapMirror replication:

10565/TCP
10566/TCP
10567/TCP
10568/TCP
10569/TCP
10670/TCP
11105/TCP
