topic SNMP access in ONTAP Discussions

Running an FAS2650 with ontap 9.3 and trying to figure out how SNMP works. I have two different networks configured (besides the unswitched clusternetwork), one Management network and one Data network. Both networks are on different ports and different IP-subnet.

The problem I have is that when I do an SNMP question to the filer I get differnt answers depending on which network I issue the question from.........

If I do:
snmpwalk -v 2c -c public <hostname> enterprises.789.1.6

from the management network I got answer in form of the mib tree.

If I instead issue the same command on the data network I got "No such object avaliable on this agent at this OID".

Anybody having any idea?

Is there some form of Viev-based access control even for version2 of SNMP?

//Bjorn

(Sorry for the english but itś not my native language)
