&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;yes.&amp;nbsp;splitting do require resources. but you cna stop it if you see an impact.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;it is&amp;nbsp;running on a low priority scanner process. so very&amp;nbsp;unlikely to impact users.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I am new to NetApp technologies &amp;amp; came across this licensed feature "FlexClone"&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What concerns me is that, what type of resources is needed from a filer when a split occurs for FlexClone.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
