NetApp MPIO on Server 2016 - Supported?!

Hey guys,

I cannot find support of NetApp's DSM for Window Server 2016. Will this be added in the future or is the "MS MPIO" the only way to go with Server 2016 systems?

You can install Windows unified host utilities which supports Windows 2016.

Hey Sahana,

thanks for your reply. Until (and inluding) Server 2012 R2 the process was to install Host Utilities, then the DSM (AKA MPIO driver) and then SnapDrive. So you can confirm that the DSM is no longer an option?

Hi,

The latest MPIO file download is of 2014.

What the Host Utilities contain a default directory C:\Program Files\NetApp\Windows Host Utilities. You can install the fcconfig.exe to install DSM and MPIO. Refer page 6 on https://library.netapp.com/ecm/ecm_download_file/ECMP1656700

Don't think you're answering the question!

IMT seems to say DSM isn't supported Windows server 2016 - I found you can't even install it, although the error is less than clear.

I believe you have use Microsoft's DSM for MPIO on Server 2016.
