Deduplication : How get tr-3849

Hi all

I've read tr-3505 for deduplication .In this document , the tr-3849 "NetApp Deduplication for FAS and VSeries Performance and Savings Testing in Customer Environments" is indicated but i can't find anywhere this Technical Report

Can someone say me how to get this document ?

Well, it is still available on field portal, so try asking your NetApp contact for a copy. It is not clear how much value it adds - there is really no reason to not use 8.1.

Is techninal report 3849 only for dedup with DataOntap 8.0.X and before ?

What is technical difference between dedup with 8.0.X ( and before ) and dedup with 8.1.x

Oops, sorry, I messed it up.

TR-3505 is for 8.0 or earlier; current one is TR-3958, which is for 8.1. Licensing has changed, some commands have changed, volume size limits have changed, etc.

TR-3849 is still available as I mentioned, but it is already old now.

Differences between 8.0.X and 8.1.x will be probably be to do with 64 aggr support and improvements in the way dedupe works for 8.1, including the processing and creation of the inodes, as well as size limits as aborzenkov has mentioned.
