FAS3140 got panic how can i handle it?

Hi All.

I want to know about this error message but i can't find fas3140 documention. How to guide this error message and fix it?

panic="PCI Error NMI from device(s): NVRAM7 on motherboard. HT2000(1) FATAL - EXB(0,9,0): RootErr(UCor,FUCFT,Fatal); Dv[0009](6,0,0): Status(RcvSysErr). in process idle_thread0 on release NetApp Release 7.3.7P1"

Hi,

Looks like a known issue, there is a public bug:

PANIC: PCI Error NMI from device(s): NVRAM7 on motherboard. HT2000(1) FATAL
https://mysupport.netapp.com/site/bugs-online/product/ONTAP/BURT/326037

Workaround:
Replace the NVRAM7 DIMM

Your filer must be in a failed-over state, but I believe if you give-back it will panic again, workaround suggest replacing PCI DIMM., only then give-back.

First you are on hardware that is EOL, and second your OS is about 10 years old.

IT's time to upgrade and get off this system, you shouldn't be running this

Re-seat *everything*. All DIMMS, all Cards.

It might help. SHould not hurt to at least try!

2GB Memory DIMM, DDR, ECC, NVRAM
