Hi guys;

We have a Exchange Deployment where we're using SnapManager for Exchange to protect the exchange datastores. Every so often, a snapshot becomes significantly larger than we would expect. We beleive this may be due to the Online Defrag operation that Exchange (in our case 2007) runs periodically.

I understand this defrag operation needs to run for Exchange to maintain its database, but are there some changes we can make to minimise the impact to snapshot space and replication? Can it be adjusted to run less frequently, or carry out less aggressive operations, or is it just something to live with?

I'd greatly appreciate any help you can offer!

--
Mark Lomas
