Hi - any help appreciated. I replaced a disk on my 3220 (Ontap 9.1P14) with an identical disk. The only difference I can see is the firmware is NA02 while all the other disks are NA01. The disk reports init failed and broken - I did try unfail and also "storage disk firmware revert -disk..disk #" but still not working and showing same firmware on re plugging in. I have tried several disks from the replacements and all behave the same.

Any ideas please? Garry

Hi

I would prefer to do that later maybe when I have a spare added back into the aggregate - so downgrade process would be great

Thanks

I don’t follow. Why?
Having the latest DQP and firmware is best practice. It’s all a non-disruptive procedure too.

Are you in a degraded state currently? I don't understand. I agree with Spindle, please upgrade firmware and DQP.

Upgrading is the best practice
You can upgrade the shelf Firmware, disk Firmware, and DQP to the latest versions by downloading them from the NetApp Support Site
