Hallo,

wir haben seit kurzem Netzwerkprobleme bei unserer Netapp. Es sind 2 Filer im HA Modus. Vom Filer 1 sind die Ports angeblich down die im Storage VLAN sind. Vom Filer 2 ist e0m angeblich down. Alle Ports haben aber einen Link. Ich habe schon andere Kabel ausprobiert und auch bereits auf einen andere Switch umgesteckt. Es hat sich nicht geändert.

Das OS ist ein Ontap 8.2.2.7 Mode.

Hat irgend jemand eine Idee, woran es liegen kann?

It was working before? When it stopped? Any incident in the environment? Any change?

It is in takeover?

Can you post ifconfig -a from each controller?

Yes, the Netapp has been running without a problem for 2 years. There were no incidents, so I tried to try other cables and plug them into a different switch.

Hi,

Maybe /etc/rc was not updated, the the takeover happened, wrong network configuration information was loaded.

So, from the ifconfig -a output, on the controller you cannot access, all IP/VLANs/IFGRPS are present as it should?

On the impaired node, check the /etc/rc file (rdfile /etc/rc). Is it correct?

Also, do you already know what caused the takeover?

Connect to the impaired node via console or RLM/SP and check if it is up, showing ready to giveback.

I have checked the etc / rc on both. Both files are correct. Everything is still there as it was before, when the Netapp was still running without any problems.
No. Unfortunately I don't know what caused the takeover.

From the SP/BMC/RLM/serial, what is the status on the impaired controller? Waiting for giveback?

Did the system sent any autosupport message about the failure?

Let me get this straight, which IP is inaccessible right now?
