[MCC-IP] Do i need MetroCluster Switches in this configure?

Hi Guys.

When both two AFF storage placed in same place.

Do I need MetroCluster Switches? or Can i configure to direct connect?

MetroCluster IP always needs backend switches.

just to add for completeness. There is a MetroCluster compliant switch configuration that allows you to use your own switches (if the switches fulfill the requirements). But completely switch less is not possible.
