ONTAP LUN creation

When adding a new LUN in ONTAP in the wizard after asking "NAME PREFIX" it asks "NUMBER OF LUNS" and "CAPACITY". What is the NUMBER OF LUNS option and what are you configuring by entering a number there?

Hello @ScubaSteveCoS ,

The Wizard is asking how many LUNs you want to create using the same naming prefix, with incrementing numbers in the suffix of the LUNs name to ensure both the LUN names are unique and easier for the Administrator to remember. For example, if you entered "Dev" as the prefix and number of desired LUNs to three, then your LUN names will be similar to: "Dev-1.1, Dev-1.2, Dev-1.3" as long as there are no other naming conflicts.
