Ethernet doesn't have a concept of queue depth. There is a limit of 128 concurrent I/Os in ONTAP now so please ensure your NFS clients are set appropriately. There are certain connection/io limits for SMB2/3 but I don't recall them off the top of my head. https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/nblade_logs_in_EMS_execsOverLimit_error

Edit: Found some KBs with some other CIFS and TCP/UDP limits:

https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/Do_both_UDP_and_TCP_connections_count_towards_the_100%2C000_connection_limit_per_node%3F

https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/CIFS_shares_access_may_fail_and_EMS_displays_error_%22cifsMaxSessPerUsrConn%22

https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/CIFS_Disconnects_from_Windows_host_with_error_%22Too_many_creds_on_single_session%22

https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/CIFS_shares_unavailable_due_to_Nblade.cifsMaxOpenSameFileNotice

https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/CIFS_Client_Change_Notification_setting_can_cause_unnecessary_load_in_ONTAP

https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS/CIFS_Max_Multiplex_and_how_to_increase_maximum_number_of_simultaneous_outstanding_Windows_client

Hope this helps!

I understand we can set/display queue depth on FC port. But is there something of that sorts for a network interface ?

I am trying to understand how many input/outputs can be queued on a network interface used for NAS ?
