    <description>&lt;P&gt;I think your previous post 'MDV vol size increasing' and this post may be related. As the MDV vol size indicates, the system (external fpolicy server) is overwhelmed. It appears that large number of FPolicy notifications are being generated and sent to the FPolicy server and it cannot process it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looks like system is unable to cope up with the amount of events it is dealing with. &lt;STRONG&gt;Is 'filters' in place&lt;/STRONG&gt; ? One of the filter that you could suggest is shown below as an example. However, have a word with client and if required have a case open with both NetApp &amp;amp; &lt;STRONG&gt;FPolicy Vendor&lt;/STRONG&gt;, so that they can consult and guide the client to have required '&lt;STRONG&gt;filters'&lt;/STRONG&gt; in place to reduce the number of notifications being generated. Once this is fixed, it may also help the other issue regarding 'MDV volume'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;workaround : (Example)&lt;BR /&gt;::&amp;gt; vserver fpolicy policy event modify –vserver -event-name -file-operations -filters close-with-modification,first-read&lt;/P&gt;</description>
