mirroring protection for critical application

we have a critical application, currently we have multiple data copies on application level but they are all located at same NetApp node /aggregate. I am thinking we may need a mirroring to a different node/aggregate in case of storage node failures.

the application is using block based devices from NetApp. what type of mirroring should we use, load balance mirroring or something else? i believe the mirroring should be on volume level. can some one please share your experience?

Managing risk vs failure domains is a question of money and technology. Load balancing isn't what you're looking for. Snapmirror Business Continuity to another HA is probably the easiest option to implement at a storage level.
