Error create CIFS Ontap 9.12.1p3

Hello Guys

A node was installed to present cifs volume and it always gives the same error as attached on the screen

DNS, AD, etc. were checked and there is no object created with the CIFS host name.

Has anyone had this problem and how can I solve it?

Hello, can you check that your active directory servers are "joinable" on ports 389 and 445 from your svm IP?

From the screen shot, we can see following details:

Source address: 172.26.20.47
DNS address: 10.1.1.2,10.1.1.3

Can you ping from filer LIF/IP (source address) to the DNS IP ? Is it reachable?

I got similar errors. This means there is the AD not reacheable from the SVM. So check your firewall settings as well as the ports. Furthermore your user should have rights registering a SVM in AD.

Can you try to check your DNS service is ok ?

My issue was solved. There was an misstake in Gateway config
