topic VSCAN events forwarding to syslog server in ONTAP Discussions

Hello

I'm using VSCAN with Trend Micro Server Protect. I'd like to forward vscan event to external syslog server which could create alerts and generate tickets in case of virus detection. Is there any way to forward these events? Or maybe they are forwarded along with all EMS messages?

ONTAP has very little knowledge of the event. It would be best to trigger the alert from the vscan server. This way you get more details like the virus that actually was detected in your logging.

ak.
