Will shutdown command will cause SMBC Failover?

My customer want me provide a SM-BC POC plan,

I consider about storage shutdown,

but I don't sure is the normal shutdown command will trigger SM-BC failover function?

I have never done it, so cannot tell you with certainty. But I guess it should work, dosen't matter if it is a graceful or abrupt shutdown, as long as both Nodes of the HA Pair are down.

An AUFO [automatic unplanned failover] can be triggered if all nodes at a site are failed because of the following reasons:
• Node power down
• Node power loss
• Node panic

Hence, I believe, if you shutdown Primary Site Nodes (HA Pair), it should trigger AUFO execution, as per NetApp documents. Reach out to NetApp support if you want more clarity around this.
