Volume capacity Values

Hi Team

We need some clarification regarding volume capacity values .

we're using physical used capacity to compute various metrics. We've observed that for some volumes, the used capacity and physical used capacity values are the same, while for others, they differ.

Here are the details from our NetApp system (version 9.13):

We've tried to understand the reasons behind these discrepancies but couldn't get a clear explanation.

Could you please help us understand this .

The used (or used size ) indicate the total logical size that is used in the volume and it includes the de-duplicated data,compressed state , compacted data and the reclaimable data that is there in the lun /volume.

while the physical size is the actual phyiscal block that the data is using on the volume (read it like the data is is used on the phyiscal disk).
