topic Is it possible to export the license keys from a NetApp system that's no longer under support? in ONTAP Discussions

I have a FAS2720 that's not under support anymore and no longer appears on the support site, therefore its license keys are not availble there. This is a problem because I need to do a wipe/reinstall before transferring the system to the next user, which will of course wipe out all licensing info.

I've been digging around in the "license" command but I can't find anything there that shows the actual keys. System Manager doesn't seem to show them either. (Cluster -> Settings -> Licenses ...)

Is there some hidden command somewhere that will display or export them? If not, do I have any other options?

Hello,

NetApp is really close about licensing.

You don't have any commands to retreive your license keys.

You can't found them in clear with CLI or GUI.

The only way I know, it to get them from NetApp support site with the account of the buyer of the storage.
Or ask your NetApp representative, maybe he can help.
