Data ontap 8.02 and OnCommand system manager problem

Hi everyone.

We have setup fas 3160 system and we have encountered a small problem :

When system arrived, data ontap was 7.3.6. We have upgraded to 8.02, and now we cannot manage systems with oncommand system manager. FillerView and CLI are working.

Symptoms are that we can add systems with oncommand system manager, but when we try to logon to systems, it times out.

Error from CLI is : BRT [HTTPPool00:warning]: HTTP Authentication from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX using NTLM failed

From 7.3.6 everything was OK.

Any idea?

It looks like that he filer attempts to use HTTPS because it is running Data ONTAP 8.0 7 mode and unlike Data ONTAP 7.3.x, will not prompt the user to change to HTTP.

Enable SSL on the filer with secureadmin:

filer> secureadmin setup ssl

Note: This applies only to System Manager 1.x and filers running on Data ONTAP 8.0 7 mode.

You need to enable SSL on filers. 8.x works only over HTTPS; do not ask me why.
