SnapRestore only works on file (lun) or volume. Have you tried ftp? It is included in ONTAP and 7.3 added secure ftp. You can also use ndmpcopy from a snapshot...enable ndmp then "ndmpcopy /vol/volname/.snapshot/snapshotname/path /vol/volname/targetpath"

At present i have a volume containing several large folders which have archive data. I have attempted to recover these using ~snapshot but due to the UNC length windows reaches it maximum and then stops the recovery.

Unfortunately it's a windows only environment.

I have found lots of articles showing how to Snap restore and Volume or single file to a new location but non on doing this with a folder, is this possible.
