Do we need to reboot the filer to change the NIS domain on VFILER

Hi All,

I am going to change the NIS domain name on the vfiler. Do it require a reboot to changes to effect..?

I haven't seen a requirement for this after update. The setting should be exactly the same as a physical vfiler0 on the fas. Should work but would be good to create a test vfiler and try it out.

On vfiler0 NIS is not enabled. We have alreade a NIS domain mentioned on the vfiler xxxx. I need to change it to other domain.

Should be fine. But to be sure create a test vFiler. Point to old and

change to new to test. You can create a test vFiler in the same Ipspace using the same interface as long as you have a free ip then it will alias the existing interface in use.
